I got this for my granddaughter, and it was a LOT better than I expected. First of all, the size is impressive. I actually think a teacher could use it. It would be super cute on a desk. It sharpens the pencils well (regular and colored pencils), and it's really cool because you don't have to hold the pencil there. You just put it in and the sharpener pops it out when it's done. It is rechargeable, and it holds its charge quite well. I love that it doesn't have to be by an outlet or have a cord attached to it. This is super great!

These are the best pencil sharpeners ever! We already have one and LOVE it. Did we need a second? Obviously, yes, because, well...cat ears. Is there anything cuter!? I really can't think of anything. But cuteness aside, it's a brilliant design and fits our needs perfectly. Top load is key, because you don't need to battle desk junk to sharpen your pencils. Rechargeable is key, because you don't need to have a designated desk outlet (already a hot commodity). Emptying is simple and clean - even my kiddos can do it without making a mess (shocking - I know!) I've turned into a real automatic sharpener fan - they are so easy to use: the sharpener sucks your pencil in, sharpens, and then spits out a perfectly sharpened pencil every time! My son was convinced the sharpener was taking an excessive amount of pencil with each sharpen, so we brought out the ruler to see. He was wrong - AFMAT Sharpener for the win!!
