This AFMAT heavy-duty sharpener honestly surprised me. I expected “classroom capable” to be marketing fluff, but this little tank lives up to the hype for middle-school classroom use. Six different pencil holes means it handles everything: from skinny No. 2s to those chunky art pencils that usually jam cheaper sharpeners. It really gives you a solid value for the money. Every pencil comes out with a clean, even point, and the auto-deburr at the end is a nice touch.

The sharpening speed is wild. New pencils are done in about three seconds, used pencils even faster. And best of all? No broken tips. None. It stops automatically at the perfect point, so you’re not grinding half your pencil into dust like with bargain electric sharpeners.

The rechargeable battery is a huge win. One full charge lasts forever. I’ve been sharpening everything in sight and still haven’t drained it. Being cordless makes it easy to move around the room or toss in a bag if you’re heading to a workshop or class.

This pencil sharpener is fantastic for the classroom. It sharpens pencils quickly and effectively. The noise level is about average. The battery stays charged longer than expected. A common issue in the classroom is that students knock over the pencil sharpener, and it breaks. The pencil sharpener has strong suction cups that keep it in place. With this feature and its durability, it is well worth the money.

I don’t know how I ever got along without this product. I’m constantly looking for my small tiny pencil sharpener and I can never find it so when I ran across this, I wanted to give it a try. It’s absolutely wonderful. Has six holes, is cordless, rechargeable and sharpens pencils to perfection! I highly recommend this product. It’s not noisy at all.. works well and stores easily. It’s a great quality sharpener and a great value for the money.

This is the fastest and most amazing sharpener I have owned in this price range. On a full charge, it will last weeks with light to moderate use. There are a variety of pencil sizes you can sharpen, and it's fast and very quiet. It is so easy to use, and I can move it to any location since it doesn't need to be plugged in all the time. I have walked around the classroom sharpening pencils without disruption. This sharpener is a great value and should be in every classroom, home, or office.

This pencil sharpener is so fast and efficient! I have the robot pencil sharpener from this same brand, and it’s so fun, but it’s not quick enough for sharpening pencils in bulk. This one works seamlessly. Students get up and sharpen their pencil in a matter of a couple seconds. The sharpener lets you know when the pencil is sharpened, there’s less friction and the noise slightly changes when it’s fully sharpened. It holds an acceptable amount of shavings before needing to be emptied. It’s ideal for a classroom that has an outlet nearby to where the sharpener will be placed since the battery needs to be charged with a cable and outlet. So far it’s holding up well in my third grade classroom.

I would definitely recommend this pencil sharpener for classroom use. I have been using it for about a month in my 5th grade classroom, and in that time, I only had to charge it once (initial charge). I keep it near my desk (so I can supervise), and it has held up great to use by students. It definitely works well, the pencils get nice and sharp, and we LOVE that it stops sharpening when the pencil is sharp. I think the price of this product is fair, considering I paid more for a name brand that broke very quickly. So far I am extremely pleased with this product.

I use this sharpener mainly for #2 pencils. I use them a lot in my wood shop, and I don't like getting slowed down with dull pencils. The sharpener gives clean, sharp points effortlessly and quickly. Unfortunately, the sharpener does not accommodate carpenter pencils. The sharpener is quiet and sharpens a lot of pencils before needing to be recharged. I keep the sharpener in my shop where I need it the most, but it's portable enough to carry wherever I need it.

This pencil sharpener even has the triangle toddler shaped pencil hole. It has been working well for us, but admittedly hasn't gotten a ton of use yet. Because of that, I can't write on how long the charge will last, but am hopeful. If I was still in the classroom, I'd be excited to test out the durability of intense usage.

Finally, I've found a pencil sharpener that has all the features I wanted and actually works. It takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge when you first get it, and so far, I haven't had to recharge it. It's super easy to use and comes with clear instructions. I mainly use it for #2 pencils and colored pencils, and it sharpens them perfectly without overdoing it. With a slight push, the pencil is held firmly in place by the cutting blades and stops automatically when it's sharpened. Occasionally, you might need to reinsert the pencil, but it's no big deal. The noise level is quite low, so it's not bothersome. In the picture I posted, you can see a pencil I sharpened—it was brand new and sharpened in just 3 seconds. This sharpener works great, and at 6.9x3.3x4.6 inches, it easily fits on my desk.

I have been wanting an AFMAT sharpener for a while now, and this one has not disappointed!
This is an amazing sharpener, and it's student friendly because it stops sharpening once the pencil is sharp. I also like that this is a rechargeable sharpener, so I can plug it in at the end of the day, and it's ready to go in the morning. So far, the battery life is fantastic as well. I've only charged it once since receiving it, and it's used all day, every day. It seems to be durable enough, I let my 4th graders use it, and they have been for over a week now with no issues (which is a miracle). I think the price is appropriate for the value of the sharpener, honestly. It's a little pricier than others out there, but the peace of mind it provides is worth it for me, personally. I'd buy another if I needed to.
