Perfect for a classroom, great sharpener for the price

Iā€™ve bought this pencil sharpener twice- once for my classroom and once for my house. Itā€™s easy for kids to use and easy to empty- my kindergarteners can use it unassisted. It sharpens pencils and colored pencils, and has never jammed or broken. I have had one for 4 years in my kindergarten classroom and itā€™s still going strong! Great sharpener for the price.

My Favorite Sharpener for Colored Pencils

As a colored pencil artist focused on realism, I appreciate how the AFMAT sharpener can sharpen soft cored pencils, such as Prismacolors, while delivering consistent, clean points. The auto-feed and eject feature on the fully automatic model is especially helpful. The sharpener can also handle thicker-barrel pencils like Derwent, Caran d'Ache Luminance, and Faber Castell. The Auto Stop Function prevents over-sharpening and saves pencil length. The sharpener also has a dual sharpness setting so you can choose between blunt and sharp tips. The only downside is that the sharpener is plug-in only, so portability is limited. Overall, though, this sharpener is the best one I have found for sharpening colored pencils.
